However, due to the great amount of patience of the Holy Father, the meeting finally took place. According to the Vatican report, Holy Father asked Putin “to make his all best to restore a relationship” and “to make his sincere efforts in maintaining peace“, obviously, hinting on the Ukrainian issue.

After the meeting, lots of Catholics and ordinary people continued to criticize Holy Father for his tolerance. The Greek Catholics community, which is quite spread in Ukraine, has also expressed its disappointment.

Some of disappointed even say about secret Vatican-Kremlin union against Western states, thus commenting Holy Father’s patience and temperance in actions. They recalled, in particular, the times, when Vatican and Russia both called the USA to regret from usage щf military forces in Syria, finding there hidden relationships between Pope Francis and Vladimir Putin.
