Pakistani officials said that terrorists stopped the bus, got in and started the gunnery from the 9 mm pistols. 43 victims died at the crime scene from the wounds, incompatible with life and 13 more received injuries and were hospitalized. The late members of the Ismaili Shiite group were travelling to the minority center when the accident took place. Altogether there were 60 Ismailians on the bus. After killing the innocent, the terrorists got on their bikes and rode away.

The part of the Talibani group, Jundullah made a statement about their involvement in the attack. Their representative, Ahmed Marwat said that people on the bus were Ismailis and their group treats them as kafirs (not Muslims). He also added that his group will carry out the assault on Ismailis, Shiites and Christians soon.

Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities expressed their condolences to the families of the victims that died in the accident.

They were peaceful people and we are very sad about this inhumane act

– said Qaim Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of the Sindh region.
