On Monday, Californian wildfires, caused by lightning strikes, increased!

As the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection stated, at least 21 wildfires are occurring at the huge territories in California. More than 9,300 firefighters are now fighting with it.

The epicenter of the fires is called the Rocky Fire and it takes place of around 54,000 acres in three counties.

On Sunday, Cal Fire representative Daniel Berlant said:

This has been a very fast-moving wildfire with the dry conditions, and the weather not really cooperating with us over the past week

Over 12,100 people from more than 5,100 structures were advised to evacuate due to the dangerous fires that are only tend to grow. Now, more than 180 engines, 4 air tankers and 19 helicopters are being used in that territory.

These severe flames were caused by lightnings. Thousands of them could be seen in the night sky during the last few days. Often lightnings are followed by massive rains, though this time there were no rains at all.

When the night comes, the humidity goes up and thus fires decrease, but not in case with the Rocky Fire.

This fire was very active throughout the night. It was really burning very fast, all the way up into the late hours, so unfortunately we’re really not getting a break

All we can do now is hope for a miracle and wish our firefighters good luck!
