The incident happened on Sydney train, when suddenly a passenger-woman began abusing a Muslim couple that were travelling in the same train. The woman began throwing offensive affronts at the foreigners, especially at the Muslim woman that was wearing a hijab. Then, a young, 23-years-old passenger, Stacey Eden, decided to put an end to this and started defending the pair. She even missed her station and stayed longer on the train to be sure that the couple was safe, and they were very grateful to her for this. Later, Eden uploaded the video online that almost immediately went viral.

The woman that attacked the couple said that she would be beaten to death for wearing a dress in their (foreigners’) country and called young woman an ISIS satellite because of the hijab she was wearing. On which Eden replied that Muslim woman wears the hijab for herself and she wants to look decent and she definitely didn’t do this just to sit here and listen to your abuses. When woman heard Eden’s defense, she started abusing Eden, telling her to go and join the ISIS militants because she was defending them.

Every religion has good and bad sides, but at the core of every religion lies love. Love to each other. And the function of every religion is to control yourself

– said Stacey.

The group of Islamophobia Register in Australia informed that such incidents are pretty conventional. Soon after the incident became public, the group released a laudatory statement about Eden’s heroic act.
