According to the official blog of the company, Windows 10 Home will be the basic, consumer-focused edition. It will be installed on the majority of desktops and notebooks, and will include all the major features of the new operating system, for example, browser Microsoft Edge, face recognition Windows Hello, virtual assistant Cortana.

The modification Windows 10 Pro will be aimed at small businesses and designed to assist in working with cloud technologies, and protection of corporate data.

Mobile version of the Windows Phone devices will have the name Windows 10 Mobile and will be used on phones, tablets and Xbox One. It will feature branded Windows applications and a special version of Office, optimized for touch screens. A special option Continuum for Phone will help the user to turn the phone into a personal computer when connecting to the monitor.

Along with these systems, there will be available: Windows 10 Enterprise, aimed at medium and large businesses, with more advanced features for managing enterprise resources; Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise, respectively, will be the version of the software for doing business via smartphones and tablets; Windows 10 Education – edition of the operating system for employees of educational institutions, teachers and students themselves; Windows 10 IoT Core, designed to work with different devices such as POS terminals, ATMs, industrial robots and others.

Operating system Windows 10 was presented in September 2014. It will be able to install the new platform for free on computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8. According to vice president of Microsoft operating systems, Terry Myerson, the number of devices, on which Windows 10 will be installed, is going to exceed one billion by 2018 fiscal year.
