But the technical novice also has a stunning price that isn’t even set yet. And, according to the Toroidion representative, Pasi Pennanen, the price for the car can be lying within the $1.5 m to $3.5 m limits.
The concept of the car was presented in April at Top Marques, the Monaco car show, by Prince Albert II, the Monaco’s Prince.
The tiny Finnish automaker that built this splendid car is very small and consists only of 15 employees and is fully self-financed. The company has been working on this car and the new battery technology for the last four years.
The plan of Pennanen is to gather enough public interest around the car to attract investments and orders to build the first batch of 100 Toroidons and sell them in the nearest 2 years. This will help to launch the mass production of the car, lower down the price and sell it to different types of customers. If this plan works out, Tesla might be made to share the market with a major rival as currently there aren’t any powerful enough rivals on the electric car market that can provide worthy competition for Tesla.
The car was designed basing on the purpose that it would be able to participate in the famous Le Mans car race.

Pennanen also expressed hope to create a family-friendly version soon as unlike Tesla’s cars, the battery in Toroidion can be removed and charged separately. Also, unlike most sport cars, Toroidion’s trunk is big enough to fit a standard airline-sized baggage.
But this car has a minus as well. It can get extremely loud when riding on the speeds above 125 mph while driving at lower speed isn’t a problem.
Toroidion directors are hoping that new technologies, used in Toroidion 1MW will be used in planes or boats and the money, earned from licensing the technology can be used in future development of the car.
