Sent an email by mistake? Specially for you, Google created the ‘Undo Send’ button

This option can be useful when, for example, you made a mistake in the letter or mistyped the address of the recipient. Or maybe you were angry when writing the letter and now you want to take your words back.

This is a situation, most of us been through a few times.

This option can be useful when, for example, you made a mistake in the letter or mistyped the address of the recipient. Or maybe you were angry when writing the letter and now you want to take your words back. Well, now you can do it, literally.

The feature actually lets you cancel the sending of the message but only a short time after it has been sent. And the function doesn’t have any magic in it as the system simply delays the message for some time, long enough for you to understand what you’ve done and then sends the message to the recipient.

Actually, this function was available since 2009 but only now Google decided to make it available for public use.

Today Google has made an announcement that the new feature will be added soon to the web version of Gmail.

But this isn’t the totally new feature at all as many other software developers created Email clients that have a similar function inside.

To activate the new feature simply go to Gmail settings, click on General tab and check out the Enable Undo Send checkbox.
