The new laptop is called Lenovo LaVie Z and weighs almost two pounds. To compare, almost such a weight has the iPad from Apple. But one shouldn’t be fooled by its weight as this device is very powerful on the inside. With the nice 13-inch screen and the tasty price, this laptop is an attractive offer on the market.
We’re not saying that Apple’s computers are fat and heavy. To compare, Apple’s Mac Book Air weighs only 2.96 pounds and is one of the most lighweight notebooks in the world. But LaVie Z is the founder of the new weight class of the notebooks with its 1.87 pounds of weight. The secret of such a small weight is the special lightweight alloy that is as strong as the standard aluminium alloys.
The matte display in LaVie has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels but looks almost as sharp as the one in the 12-inch Mac Book with its glossy 2304 x 1440 pixels.
The novelty is equipped with the powerful Intel’s processor, Core i7, 8 Gb of RAM memory and 256 Gb of hard drive capacity. That’s not a serious disadvantage as LaVie’s straight rivals are equipped with the same or twice bigger amount of storage memory.
As for the battery, one shouldn’t expect a miracle here. The manufacturer promises 9 hours of autonomous work while watching video. However, in the usual mode, LaVie lasted 6 hours, and that’s the same time as one can get from Mac Book Air.
This laptop is for the one that like the lightness in addition to powerfulness. And Lenovo created just the notebook to fulfil such needs.
