IBM managed to create the world smallest chip thus making us closer to many future devices

Nowadays most of the electronic devices use 14 nm (one billionth of a meter) transistors. The devices of the next generation will be using chips with the 10 nm transistors and IBM recently presented the chip with the 7 nm technology that is to be four times more powerful as the ones we use nowadays.

One might not be a fan of computers, but most of us spend much time sitting by the computer monitor.

You may wonder, what is it a chip that everybody are talking about so much. Well, a microchip is like a brain for any of your devices like the computer or a smartphone and it is the one performing millions of calculation when you simply browse the net or make a phone call. The chip is created of millions of small transistors, and the smaller are these transistors, the more of them can be located on the chip thus making the chip more powerful and giving you possibilities you might not have had earlier due to the slow performance of the chips of the next generation.
