Google launched the site Android Experiments, where interesting and unusual applications for the operating system Android will be published.

The site can already present 20 of these services. Among them:

Landmarker. The application of augmented reality, which while hover smartphone to a specific point in a real location determines what kind of place it is.

Inkspace. This is an experimental drawing tool which uses the accelerometer on your Android device to move the drawings you make in 3d.

Kintsukuroi. The game of putting together broken objects as an Android game.

Muzei. This is a live wallpaper that refreshes your home screen each day with famous works of art.

It is possible to get the source code for each of the presented programs (there is a reference to a resource for GitHub developers).

An application of any programmer can get into the gallery on the site, there are only several requirements to comply with. For example, all projects must have an open source code, work on a version 4.4 of Android KitKat and above, and have a ‘unique and extraordinary visual aesthetics’.

Applications are being selected by a small developers team of Google. Once the project is accepted into the gallery Android Experiments, it will automatically appear for download in Google Play.
