Facebook wants to release Siri-like assistant

Moneypenny is likely to exist not only in James Bond series, but also at Facebook.

Moneypenny is likely to exist not only in James Bond series, but also at Facebook.

As The Information reported, a personal virtual assistant will be integrated into Facebook’s Messenger App. But its Moneypenny won’t be very similar to Siri. Facebook’s Moneypenny will use real people, unlike Siri, to “help researching and ordering products and services.”

Now this service is tend to help people with shopping and ordering, but some additional features will also be launched with time.

As technologies only tend to grow, people are becoming more and more lazy. They even don’t want to buy groceries on their own! And robots can’t clearly understand everything what person wants!

That’s why human assistance is needed. For example, Google Now and Microsoft’s Cortana are alike with Siri, but with human assistance. New Moneypenny will be something like Magic or GoButler. These are apps where you write to order foods and services.

There is no release date yet, but Facebook workers are reportedly testing the new service.

Messenger has now more than half a bilion users all around the world. Nobody is sure whether Moneypenny will have such great success.

As users can sign up for Messenger even without a Facebook account, access to Moneypenny can be really wide.
