New music streaming service of Apple, which is likely to get the name of the Apple Music, will include a social network for performers.

There musicians will be able to create profiles and publish samples of tracks, videos, photos and announcements of concerts, as well as share content of their colleagues with the view of cross-promotion. For example, Kanye West could promote Taylor Swift’s new album on his ‘Apple Music’ artist page, if he wants.

In turn, the listeners, using their account on iTunes, will have an opportunity to comment on the publications of stars and put ‘likes’. However, they will not be able to create their own pages on social network by analogy with artists.

It’s been reported that the key function of the social network will be ‘Artists Activity’, which can be optionally disabled in the settings. The network will be available for versions of Apple Music on iOS, Mac or Android.

The music service itself will be integrated into the updated application of music for iOS 8.4 and based on the streaming application ‘Beats Music’. Owners of library cloud storage Beats Music will also be able to redirect it to Apple Music.

Apple plans to launch its new service by the end of June, and its announcement will take place on June 8 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is the company’s conference for developers. It is expected that Apple Music will be paid, but after it’s launched, the free trial version will be released.
