Another problem is the driver updates. Some of the PC manufacturers create their own driver update services that can conflict with the Windows Update service thus leading to problems with peripheral devices or rare PC components.
There are few solutions to these problems:
- Remove all third party driver control software and let Windows do the job. Stopping Windows 10 update isn’t an option as well as Microsoft warned user who can stop the update, that they would be deprived of the security updates.
- Postpone the update process for a month or two if you’re sure that Microsoft will deal with the problem. Microsoft can give users a choice, whether to update right away or to wait another month.
- Find the golden middle between updates and dictature. Microsoft could have controlled user’s computers less than it is now by giving the user a choice of what parts of the system he is ready to manage himself.
