The giant company is losing about 1% of the income every year because of stealing by customers and workers. This is, by the way, a large sum, around 3 billion dollars.

It looks like, the company made a mistake by removing greeters from entrances 3 years ago to make them perform other jobs like helping the customers directly or reorganize products on shelves.

The company hopes, its supermarkets will become friendlier to the customers when the greeters will be back on their positions again.
