A mother from Oregon issued a complaint against United Airlines. The company said that their 15-year-old daughter was troublesome so that they had to remove the family from a flight.
The name of the woman is Dr. Donna Beegle. She is a famous advocate for anti-poverty programs and often consults with state and federal authority agencies. Last week Dr.Donna was on her way home from Walt Disney World. As the trip was a bit long, her little daughter, who suffers Autism, got nervous because she felt hungry in Houston.
Dr.Donna asked a flight attendant to give her daughter some hot food. Soon after that Juliette calmed down and silently watched a movie. But for staff it seemed a bit different. The family heard an announcement that they were doing an emergency landing in Salt Lake City. The explanation of this was quite strange:
We have a passenger on board with a behavior issue
Beegle admitted that she was offended by this attitude towards her family as police officers made whole family quit the plane.
This situation was recorded on video and posted on YouTube. Comments like “It is ridiculous” and “That’s going to be a lawsuit” can be heard in video.
Beegle also posted on Facebook that Juliette had flown since she was 6. She also added that her daughter had been to 5 countries and 24 different states. With such rich experience, nothing like that ever happened to her family.
For their defense, United Airlines said that the staff did the best to make sure all customers felt comfortable during the flight.
On Saturday, Beegle claimed she had filed official complaints with United and the Federal Aviation Administration. She is also going to sue the airline, and money is not everything she expects.
