Colorado judges are very strict!
A judge sentenced the 27-years-old student to 12 life sentences, but that’s not all. The judge added more than 3,000 years to the verdict. Looks like the villain ‘get’s out’ of prison only in the 5,000’s.
James Holmes was accused and proved guilty for the furious slaughter that took pace in the Aurora movie theater and resulted in 12 dead and 70 injured. Even more, he’s sentenced without the right to get out of prison before time.
The judge’s comments for the verdict were as the following:
If there was a case that needed such punishment, then this is the right one
– said Carlos Samour.
Meanwhile, experts state that this may be one of the toughest and longest punishments in the history of justice system.
Despite the fact that Holmes was mentally ill, the judge was immovable and sentenced James to 12 life terms for 12 dead people and more than 3,000 years for attempts to kill the injured people together with filling his appartments with explosives.
Wearing protective equipment, Holmes threw gas into the theater room where ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ movie just began. Then he walked into the room, heavily armed and started the slaughter. Court files say that he had more than 700 rounds with him. Later, he went out of the theatre and surrendered.
