It would have been very funny if not so sad as the incident started from the little cookie straw. The ex-shift supervisor at Starbucks, Melissa, got angry at a customer and accused her of stealing a cookie straw.

Ruby Chen

The victim customer, Ruby Chen, said that she wasn’t suspecting anything and was peacefully using her phone when barista called her for the order. She took a cookie straw when Melissa started screaming at her. Ruby tried to understand, what she did wrong, but the supervisor continued screaming at her again for the straw, she took a while ago.

Of course, Ruby posted the response on the Starbucks’ page on Facebook about the incident. She said that she didn’t hear Starbucks’ worker asking for her name because she was busy, working with the application on her phone to pay for the order. Then she heard angry supervisor’s voice asking her something like “Hey. Helooo.” with a bad tone. By listening to the recording of the incident, one can hear Melissa yelling at Ruby that she won’t get any service there and an angry demand of Melissa’s for Ruby to give back the straw and get out of the cafe.

Starbuck’s representatives later apologized at Ruby and said that the angry supervisor has been dismissed from the cafe.
