A senior student of Notre Dame University died on his graduation eve. 21-year-old graduate fell from the wet roof of the campus basketball arena.

A representative of the school Paul Browne said that William Meckling from Centennial fell from the Joyce Center’s roof. According to Browne, an investigation showed that William, as well as some other students, got an access to the roof. The roof that was at a comparatively low point from outside the building, was wet that evening from precipitation. He also said that William was the only who got injured.

Around 3:45 a.m. two students reported about the accident. Meckling was found unconscious by an officer who immediately called for an ambulance. Browne said that all attempt to resuscitate the student failed.

On Sunday Meckling was about to get his degree in mechanical engineering.
