Marijuana is legal? Ahh, just in Canada

The Canadian Supreme Court has rules to legalize all forms of medical marijuana.

Now all medical marijuana patients are allowed to consume marijuana, not only smoke it. As cannabis oil is not forbidden now, it can be even used for cooking some products.

The whole thing began in 2009 when the Cannabis Buyers Club of Canada baker had to pay huge fine for illegal marijuana possession.

Owen Smith, ex-head of the club, was caught baking about 200 pot cookies. A British Columbia judge justified Owen Smith. The judge also gave Canadian government a year to change the laws that involve marijuana.

The court declared that restricting people only to dried marijuana as treatment is “null and void”. Thus, all patients who can use marijuana in medical purposes can have cannabis cookies and tea.

In Canada medical marijuana is used as a way of treatment of  Crohn’s disease, seizures, HIV and nausea. But firstly, physicians have to decide whether you are acceptable for such special treatment.

Court has stated that banning to posses non-dried forms of marijuana is “contrary to the principles of fundamental justice because they are arbitrary; the effects of the prohibition contradict the objective of protecting health and safety”.

In the US only some states legalized marijuana. Washington is now gathering information whether marijuana should be legalized there.

In Colorado you can see marijuana shops, where you can buy marijuana, cannabis seeds and edibles. After the legalization Colorado made about $50 million of profit.
