A father of two children was hit by the lightning strike and managed to survive it.

On the camping trip near Idaho City with friends, a 34-year-old Ryan Cross was riding his four-wheeled bike. Later, the accident happened. He was taken to hospital, where doctors tried to stop the brain bleeding. His wife Heather tells that now his condition is good, he eats and has a chance to walk again.

Heather posted some pictures on Facebook, showing his husband on hospital bed. He has a red line from his chest to the abdomen, as a result of the lightning.

According to Cross’s wife, they were riding bikes when the heavy rain began. Ryan stopped under the tree to protect himself from the rain. He took his phone to look at the map and leaned against the tree and it happened. Two other friends were hit by the same lightning as Ryan Cross.

One man on four-wheeler got ringing in his ears. The other man had his leg hit by the bolt, as during the accident it was standing on the ground.

Mrs Cross said:

I really just tried to stay strong. The drive from Nampa to here was the longest drive of my life. I didn’t know what I was going to walk into
