David also captioned the photo with the word ‘Adventureaddict’ and brought the attention of John Miller, the worker of the New York Police Department. It was also reported that David made a similar selfie on the Chattanooga Bridge and this act was also described as ‘reckless and illegal’.

As for now, David’s Instagram page is deleted. And in the interview to the local channel, the tourist advised no one to repeat his stunt as the security on the bridges is very serious.

It isn’t the first reckless act that took place on Brooklyn Bridge. A similar accident took place last year when Yonathan Souid was punished with a month of society work for making a selfie on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Due to the increased rate of suck reckless acts, lawmakers offered to increase the responsibility for such acts. They offered to change the punishment to 12 month in jail or a $1,000 penalty.
