The producers of chickens are suffering from the flash of the avian flu that infects a lot of birds everyday.

Poultry manufacturers in several US states are preparing for more loses as the new flash of avian flue compelled them to destroy hundreds and thousands of birds during the last weeks. The rapidly-moving virus was found at the chicken factory in Osceola County in Iowa. More than 5 million birds will be killed in order to stop the infection from further spreading.

Another big poultry manufacturer, Hormel Food Corp, verified the statement that the dissemination of the avian flu is evoking irregularity in the turkey purveyance as the infection was found in 17 turkey groups. These birds will be destroyed as well.

Both companies will lose birds and will be closed for quarantine as well, to prevent further spreading of the illness and to go through a complete purification.

Almost 1.7 million birds had died since the start of the virus attack. And since 2015 poultry manufacturers in 10 USA states reported about the contamination cases.

Meanwhile the owners of turkey farms are confused and scared. The owner of a poultry factory in Minnesota, Kent Meschke, says that he is afraid because the farm in 25 miles from his one was hit by the avian flu and he wouldn’t wish this to anybody because when one has an out-of-control problem like this, it’s difficult to stay calm.

We are concerned and afraid

– said Kent.

The first outbreak of H5N2 was fixed last year in British Columbia, Canada. The disease is affecting mostly large farms and private bird groups on the fly path along the Mississippi river. The virus is so strong that it is able to kill a whole bird flock in 48 hours.
