According to the police, the man was attacking Boston police officer and an FBI agent with a knife after they came up to him.
The whole thing happened early on Tuesday morning near a CVS pharmacy in one of the the Boston’s neighborhoods, Roslindale. The details about the identity of the man or the reasons why he was under surveillance, haven’t been released yet.
Boston Police Commissioner William B Evans told local newspaper that the police officers tried their best to calm the man down and make him release the knife.

Officials say that the man refused to obey any order made by police. During the press conference, which took place at the crime scene, Commissioner Evans described the man as a young, approximately in his mid 20th man. He was travelling on foot and had a black military knife.
Some US social media claimed the man had a machete. After the shooting, the victim was taken to hospital. There medics claimed that the suspect was dead.
Two police officers, who shot the man, were taken to hospital as well. Although they didn’t get any injuries, doctors are worried for the stress they endured.
