On Saturday, worldwide famous actress Angelina Jolie visited a Syrian refugee camp. She thinks our world lives in era of “mass displacement.”

After Jolie had given her speech next to United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees Antonio Guterres, she told the press that “never before have so many people been dispossessed or stripped of their human rights.”

The visit was her latest in series of visits to Turkey. Actress works as a special envoy of the UNHCR, main goal of which is to bring world’s attention to refugees’ predicament. According to the U.N., the number of refugees in the world is about 60 million people.

As their number tends to increase, governments of most countries are trying to prevent their penetration. For example, Hungary wants to built a 4-meter (13-foot) high wall on the Serbian border. The country is aiming to stop the migration from Asia and Africa.

Jolie spoke about the problem of migration in general.

People are running out of places to run to

-said the actress. Angelina also added that we have to “be open and tolerant to people … who may not be able to return home.”

The biggest refugee camp, which holds about 1.6 million people, is located in Turkey. The number of refugees is increasing every day as Syria is in its fifth year of war.
