Woman has found an incredibly expensive diamond in Arkansas state park.

The big diamond was found at Crater of Diamonds State Park at Murfreesboro, Arkansas. The diamond is 8.52 carats.

Bobbie Oskarson is from Longmont, Colorado. She found this huge stone, which appears to be the fifth largest diamond found in the park since its establishment in 1972. The statement about the finding was announced by park officials on Friday. Park doesn’t estimate the value of the stone, so Oskarson has to wait until professionals estimate it.

Park representative Waymon Cox said that the woman found the diamond on Wednesday in the southwest corner of the 37½ acre field. She named it Esperanza Diamond, after her niece. This name is also a Spanish version of word “hope.” According to Cox, the stone is approximately three-quarters of an inch long. It is big around as No. 2 pencil.

The largest stone at Crater of Diamonds State Park was found in 1975. It is 16.37 carats.
