The 22-year-old glorious star is launching a new nonprofitable project that aims at helping homeless and LGBT teens.
The popular singer became even more popular after the recent actions like fully changing her style or publishing pictures of her armpits. In one of the interviews she answered that these actions weren’t meant to be provocative, rather they show her desire to be who she really is and she wishes that everyone else had such an opportunity as well. And, as a result, Miley decided to create the Happy Hippie Foundation to give a helping hand to LGBT teens and homeless people. She also mentioned that not all of her previous relations were traditional or heterosexual ones.
Miley said that she came to the idea of creating this foundation after she saw the reaction of the community at her act at the 2014 Video Music Awards when she gave her Video of the Year prize to the homeless man thus showing her support to all the homeless people on the streets. She became even more interested in launching the Foundation after the tragic death of Leelah Alcorn, the transgender teenager.
Miley said that nearly 2 million people in US have no place to live and around 40% of all the US citizens identify themselves as a part of the LGBT community. She also mentioned that since she became an entertainer in her early 14, she wanted to use her glory for good purposes and she even called Bruce Jenner her hero for bringing attention to the problems of LGBT people.
