Rescue teams started using drones in the face of the increased danger from sharks. As was reported earlier, two teenagers received injuries at the beach in North Carolina and the second accident took place in 90 minutes after the first one. The mayor of the city near the shore said, officials were simply lacking time to make a decision to close the beaches.

So, it’s not a surprise that officials became interested in the question of how to detect sharks before they get to the beach. And rescuers from the Seal Beach came up with the idea of searching for sharks with the help of air drones.

The searching method is very simple. An operator launches the drone up in the air and sends him flying over the waters. If he spots a shadow in the water, he lowers the device to get a more clear view of the ‘shadow’ and the direction it’s going at.

The representative of the rescuers team at Seal Beach said that they’ve already spotted two sharks, but they were small and not aggressive, but in case, bigger sharks are detected, the beach will be closed immediately.
