The unlucky thieves said that they only wanted to fill their pool.
Two nudist camp workers, as well as owners, were accused of stealing water from the nearby household. The suspects said that they needed the water for the pool in the camp.
The court case says that the owners of the Lupin Lodge camp, the 77-years-old Glyn Stout and his wife, Lori Kay, aged 53, illegally piped to the brook, located nearby. The papers say that the couple was warned lots of times but didn’t react. The 38-years-old Michael Buckland and his co-worker, the 49-years-old John Berryessa, both employees of the institution, were also accused of stealing.
If their guilt is proved in the court, each member of the group is at a risk of spending 3 years behind bars. The institution was stealing nearly 6,000 gallons of water every day for a few weeks.
The owners of the institution don’t seem to be bothered too much about the charges as recently Lori Kay told the local news that the camp is still open and will celebrate its 80’s anniversary.
