The accident took place approximately at 6:45 p.m. during the live broadcast on WDBJ7-TV near the Smith Mountain Lake, not far from Roanoke. The event was such a surprise and a shock for everyone that it even turned into a real hunting after the killer who was later found dead.

Police think that the killer allegedly committed suicide after what he’d done.

Officials of the TV channel commented the situation, saying that the suspect, a 41-years-old Vester Flanagan was working on the channel earlier and showed anger before he ws fired in 2013. Moreover, Flanagan used a fake name while working on the channel. Also, the killer made his own video of the shooting, from his point of view where one can see the gun, Flanagan used to kill his victim, the 24-years-old Alison Parker who also got into the video.

The fatal shooting also took  live of the video camera operator, the 27-years-old Adam Ward. Also, the villain wounded the woman who has been interviewed at that time, the local authority Vicki Gardner. Fortunately, Ms. Gardner was quickly transported to the hospital and now her life is safe.

After making such an evil act, Flanagan posted the videos of the murder online on Twitter. He also posted the possible motive of the crime. In particular, he said that Parker said racist things.
