The kitten, which was born without two front paws due to congenital anomaly, became a kind of online celebrity of Instagram.
According to The Daily Mail, during the first month after the account of the animal was created, it gained 50,000 followers.
The owner of the cat, Jackie Deak Akey, explained that she took the animal from a shelter in October 2014 and gave it a name Lil ‘Bunny Sue Roux, because “she moves like a T. Rex and Sue is the nickname of the largest, most extensive and best preserved Tyrannosaurus rex specimen ever found”, while Roux is a New Orleans twist on Roo, which is “short for kangaroo because she leaps like one”.
Akey also told that Roux (short form of the name) almost immediately adapted and learned very quickly to move. Besides, when it is necessary to speed up, Roux jumps on its hind legs like a kangaroo or a bunny. In the future, according to Akey, the cat will need to be fitted with artificial front legs cause constant jumping may affect the health of the animal in a negative way.
Despite the congenital disease, Roux doesn’t differ much from other cats in its daily life and enjoys a lot of the same activities that all four-legged felines used to do.
Roux likes eating, sleeping, stretching her back legs, hogging bed space, begging for more treats, flinging her little mouse toy with her mouth, watching the fish tank, and giving scratchy tongue kisses on my nose
– the owner told.
