The recent catastrophe also took away homes of thousands of people in Texas and Oklahoma. The situation seems to be stabilizing, but nobody knows of this is the end of the nightmare or not.
But the water level is still rising up, making more an more people leave their homes and suffer from great losses. The national weather forecasters told sad news that even a tiny rain can cause destructive consequences.
Meanwhile the preliminary losses assessment resulted into the disappointing results with over 1000 buildings and two bridges destroyed.
We can see streets with only a couple of houses that resisted the flood, and the others are just ruins
– said Kharley Smith, the representative of the emergency management.
The river of Blanco that flows through San Marcos broke its previous level record from 33.3 ft to 40.21 ft on Saturday. Also, nearly 400 homes that are located not far from Houston, near the Louis Creek Dam, are to be evacuated. Officals reported that the dam is not broken and special personnel were working to strengthen it.
Meanwhile, officials reported about 3 dead and 8 missing because of the disaster.
