Mark Herman, broadcasting director of the American TV channel KOLD-TV, came up with a pretty interesting way to declare his disсharge: he printed a message about it on a large cake.

It is reported by New York Daily News, that 28-year-old Arizona resident is moving to another city because of a new job, so he wanted to soften the bitterness of his colleagues because of him leaving.

Herman said that he would miss KOLD TV and all those people with whom he had happened to work for over 4 years:

My coworkers and I are really a tight working group. I thought this would make it easier. You just can’t be sad at a cake

According to New York Daily News, Herman’s colleagues were upset to find out of his dismissal, but they did not lose their appetite and were glad to ate the quarter sheet of strawberry-filled cake.

It is known that the cake was ordered at Tucson local bakery. Herman sent them a PDF of the message and the next day the design was placed on the pastry.

This is not the first time that workers express their decision to leave the company with the help of confectionery. In 2013, British customs officer Chris Holmes also wrote a letter of resignation on the cake having explained his dismissal by change of priorities in life.
