Doctors warned that wearing skinny jeans can cause a serious damaging of your muscles and nerves.

Medics admitted in a statement for the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry that there was a case of a 35-year-old woman, who had to be cut out of skinny jeans and even of jeans at all after her calves became enormously huge.

After spending hours squatting to empty cupboards for a house move in Australia, her feet were deprived of the power of sensation and she found it hard even to walk just by the evening.

This woman was believed to have a condition called compartment syndrome. Her condition had been made worse by her skinny jeans.

Her compartment syndrome is a painful and potentially serious. The condition was caused by bleeding or swelling within an enclosed bundle of calves.

Because of that condition, the woman was unable to get up after numerous falls, so she spend several hours lying on the ground. Despite enough blood supplied her feet as they were warm, some feelings were lost and her muscles were weak as well.

However, she was able to walk again after several days of medical treatment.

Despite the slim chances of developing tingly, numb thighs from wearing skinny jeans, there had been a number of such cases reported by medics.

There’s no need to ditch the skinny jeans just yet, simply avoid staying in the same position for too long and keep moving throughout the day. If you do suffer any prolonged pain you should of course seek help, but no-one should be alarmed by this warning or change the cut of their jeans

– stated a professional adviser at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Priya Dasoju.
