1. Winnie Harlow (Chantelle Brown-Young)

Winnie Harlow is one of the most famous Canadian models. When she was four years old, she was diagnosed with vitiligo, a rare skin disease. During the school she was always teased by her classmates, getting really horrible names. She didn’t even finish high school because of constant bullying. And Winnie has decided to accept herself the way she is. The popularity came to her when she became a participant of America’s Next Top Model, though she didn’t win.

2. Andrej Pejic

Andrei Pejic is a transgender Australian model. She poses as both man and woman. According to her, she lives “in between genders”. At the age of 17 Andrej worked in McDonalds. Then Pejic was spotted by model agent. She worked for male and female runways for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Michalsky, Rosa Clara and other brands. In 2014 Andrej had a sex surgery and now she is a transgender woman.

3. Tess Holliday

She is plus size model. Tess became popular in 2013, when she created #effyourbeautystandarts movement on Instagram. Since then, Vogue Italia, Refinery29 and The Huffington Post named her the top plus size model. She is a member of Milk Model Management. Tess is the biggest plus-sized model. She appears to be a blogger, makeup artist and model.

5. Alex Minsky

Alex was a marine. When he was serving in Afghanistan in 2009 he was hit by a roadside bomb. As a result, his jaw was broken several times, his arm was badly injured and his leg was completely damaged below the knee. Alex also suffered bad brain trauma and spend about month in coma. Doctors thought he wouldn’t survive…but he did! Instead of complaining about life, Minsky started attending gym twice a day 6 times per week. While working out, Alex was seen by famous photographer who offered a photo-shoot. Since the photos were published, Alex became worldwide famous.

6. Moffy

Moffy is 19-year-old British model. What makes her special? She has strabismus, so she is a bit cross-eyed. According to Moffy, she doesn’t care about what other people think about her, she never wanted to be perfect. The girl doesn’t think her disease is a disadvantage. She says her eye is funny. She was thinking about eye surgery to fix the problem, but then she refused to do that.

7. Shaun Ross

Shaun Ross is an albino fashion model. What is more, he is the first albino male model in the world! Shaun was born in Bronx. He had a really difficult childhood as everybody teased him for being a white black. He used to dance, he used to be a YouTuber. Actually, YouTube made him a worldwide famous model. He works for British and American modeling agencies. He also appeared in famous celebrities’ videos.
