The full-sized Springfield was opened at the theme park in the United States.

The town from one of the longest cartoons in the history of TV came to life today. Visitors can see by their own eyes full-sized heroes of the cartoon as well as the no less famous places in ‘The Simpsons’ like Krusty Burger, local store, Kwik-E-Mart or the tavern, owned by Moe the barkeeper.

The voices of ‘The Simpsons’ characters visited the theme park on Tuesday. Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson said the opened park was like the transition from the 2D world on the screen to the 3D-world in real life. She added that she had this strange feeling inside like if she and Lisa Simpson were one person. But when voicing Lisa, she was in the two dimensional world and here it’s all new to her.

“The Simsons” is a 26-seasons show about clumsy Homer, his wife Marge and their kids, smart Lisa and naughty Bart, has been on TV since 1989 and won the hearts of millions of fans all over the world.
