On Wednesday, for New York Times a 58-year-old Rita said that nobody knew that such bad disease would make their couple so much closer to each other.

Rita Wilson shared her thoughts about the breast-cancer battle and relationship with her husband Tom Hanks.

On Wednesday, for New York Times, a 58-year-old Rita said that nobody knew that such bad disease would make their couple so much closer to each other. Wilson also added that she was amazed by the amount of support her husband gave her.

Tom and Rita has been married for about 27 years. During the interview he called via Face Time. A 58-year-old actor got to know how his wife praised him and asked Rita to make sure she would print all her praises.

Wilson also expressed her gratefulness to other family members who supported her during such difficult time. They sent her gifts, visited her often and wished everything best. But her Broadway co-star Larry David was really terrified with the news as Rita told him she needed a month off to have surgery. When he heard terrible news, he got pale but Wilson tried to assure him she would be OK.

On Tuesday, she resumed her Broadway role. Even though Rita is cancer free now, she still feels exhausted and nowadays she has to cope with a tissue expander which makes some space for breast implants. Woman is really optimistic, saying,”I think it’s going to look awesome.”

Rita Wilson admitted that she felt a bit surreal for everything that happened to her.
