The 7th season of The Vampire Diaries is going to be completely different. Nina Dobrev has announced that she is about to leave the CW series at the end of the season after 6 seasons and 4 characters.
Since the show was debuted, the actress has starred as a main character, called Elena Gilbert. She wrote about her departure on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself and the producer of the show Julie Plec. She said that she always had known that she would stay in the TV series for 6 seasons. She also noted that her character Elena fell in love not only once, but twice. With two brothers, who in real life became her best friends and members of her family that she would love forever.
Nina also promised to her fans that they would hear about her experience when they approach the last episode of the season. Now she has moved to a new chapter of her life.
Plec also said some words about Nina’s leaving the TV series. She admitted that saying goodbye to Nina is “both bittersweet and beautiful”. According to her, the whole Vampire Diaries crew would miss Nina.
As we know, Nina decided to leave right after her colleague Steven R. McQueen, who played Elena’s younger brother Jeremy Gilbert.
