One of the star twins from the beloved by all Americans show “Everybody Loves Raymond”, Sawyer Sweeten, committed suicide.

On Thursday morning the family confirmed to mass media that 19-year-old celebrity teenager had committed suicide. Later it was announced that he had shot himself on the family’s house front terrace in Texas.

Sawyer with his twin brother Sullivan were playing in the famous TV-show Geoffrey and Michael Barone. The show also featured their older sister Madylin as Ally Barone.

This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred

– the members of the family said in a statement.

All his relatives were overwhelmed and devastated to report that Sawyer Sweeten, their beloved son, brother and friend, had killed himself just on the eve of the second decade of his life. A week later Sawyer could celebrate his 20th birthday.

His family invokes in such a vulnerable time to respect their right for privacy and begs everyone to reach out to the ones we love.

When the TV-project was launched in 1996, Sawyer and Sullivan were near a year and a half. This show was based on a daily routine of the lead actor Ray Romano, but at the very beginning, twins had only some small tiny moments, because they were too young and unable even to speak. So, since that time till 2005, they had been appearing on the US screens as a part of the successful show “Everybody Loves Raymond”, which was also shown by Channel 4 in the UK.

When Romano heard about this sad news he was shocked. He described Sawyer as a sweet and energy kid and expressed a deep sympathy to his family.

At this time I would like to encourage everyone to reach out to the ones you love. Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you

– wrote Madylin Sweeten on Facebook.
