Last autumn the lead singer of Creed announced that he was out of money. He also lived in a Holiday Inn and was sure that his family was involved in ISIS.

In his interview for People magazine he told that he was out of his mind. Nowadays the famous singer has an explanation for this tough period. Scott Stapp admitted that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and that all the events of the last years were a result of this mental illness.

Recently Stapp told the world about his problems. He said that he was psychotic. This disorder was caused by his addiction to alcohol and drugs. Except these problems, Creed’s leader was hallucinating. He was chasing the angel he had seen on the hood of his car all over the USA during a month.

The singer, known for his songs “With Arms Wide Open” and “Higher”, in November released a video on Facebook. According to him, he recorded the video being under “some kind of vicious attack”. Also all his bank accounts were stolen by people familiar to him or just frozen by the IRS.

While watching the video, you can hear the full description of his days during the journey. For example, he described how he slept in his truck for several weeks and how he couldn’t afford to buy some food for 2 days.

Nowadays, Scott Stapp is being in recovery. He works every problem out with therapy, some medication and he also receives a 12-step program.

He told People:

Nothing is more important than my sobriety
