Beautiful Taylor Swift’s newest album “1989” keeps bringing her huge money.
Nielsen Music reported that “1989” album, that was released about 36 weeks ago, has sold more than 5 million copies since that time. It is now the second most quickly sold album after Usher’s “Confessions” that reached this mark in 19 weeks in 2004.
The album has also beaten Adele’s “21.” It took 42 weeks to reach 5 million in 2011. According to Billboard, now her album has sold 11.1 million copies.
However, this is not the first Swift’s record. Her video “Blank Space” was the fastest to hit 1 billion views on VEVO.
Experts say such success was not unpredictable. Due to her high-quality singles, that were released really slowly one by one, her album became so desirable among her fans. For example, her “Shake it Off” single was released in August 2014, after big period of time “Blank Space,” “Style” and her current hit “Bad Blood” followed it. That means, those singles made a good track for “1989” success.
