On Monday when it was discovered by Random House that a copy of new EL James novel called ‘Grey: New Fifty Shades’ disappeared and as a consequence Kent Police’s investigation has been launched.
The writer and publishers fear that the book can leak to the web or its underdone chapters can be sold to the media.
In this book the very first story, well-known as 50 Shades of Grey, is being narrated from the billionaire Grey’s point of view. The book was to be released next week, although Random House officials as well as publisher’s solicitors wouldn’t give any further additional information about the missing novel. According to a spokesman they decided to ‘keep silence’ due to an ongoing police investigation.
The Grey: New Fifty Shades was officially reported missing on 8 June, stated a spokesman for Kent Police.
It has been sold more than 125 million copies of the world-widely known ‘Grey trilogy’ since the first release of the 50 Shades of Grey in 2011.
At a last week Grey’s release announcement EL James narrated that the decision to write the continuation of the story after thousands of readers asked the writer to show them Christian’s point of view.
The author admitted that Christian Grey’s desires, motivation and the troubled past, have always been fascinating to readers. Besides, the billionaire appears to be a complex and quite difficult to understand character.
James also stated that those who had ever been in a relationship know that there are two opposite views to every story.
On 18 June, what appeared to be Christian Grey’s birthday, the new novel is to be published.
