The voice of Mr Burns as well as a lot of other Simpsons’ characters, Harry Shearer, is coming back on the show!
After announcing on Twitter in May that he is leaving Simpsons to have a spare room for some other projects, he is to return to the show, according to Fox announcement on Tuesday.
While fans of The Simpsons have been worrying that they will loose such voices as Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner, Harry Shearer decided to come back on a board.

According to Fox announcement on Tuesday, the network signed all of the main cast members of The Simpsons. And of course Shearer was included in the list.
FOX is proud to confirm that each and every member of the iconic series’ voice cast will be returning in the roles they’ve brought to life since the show’s beginnings as a series of animated shorts nearly 30 years ago
– a spokesperson for the network said in a statement.
Almost two months ago Shearer shared a post with his fans on Twitter, saying:
From (executive producer of The Simpsons) James L. Brooks’ lawyer: “show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best
This because I wanted what we’ve always had: the freedom to do other work. Of course, I wish him the very best
Besides, the rumor had it that it was Shearer who delayed production on seasons 27 and 28, what was actually later confirmed. The voice actor was simply holding out to continue his contract.
According to Fox, Shearer together with his fellow voice co-actors Dan Castellaneta and Nancy Cartwright are due to appear in the 27th and 28th seasons of a famous yellow cartoon that has been cheering up the world for around 25 years.
