New York rapper Pumpkinhead, 39, died

Famous New York rapper and MC Robert “Pumpkinhead” Diaz died at the age of 39. Music industry have lost an amazing person and talented musician.

Famous New York rapper and MC Robert “Pumpkinhead” Diaz died at the age of 39.

Music industry have lost an amazing person and talented musician. Robert “Pumpkinhead” Diaz was best known for his track “Dynamic”. On early morning of June 9 famous rapper died from unknown reason.

Graeme “GMS” Sibirsky, a co-founder of Diaz’s record label MCMI Records, confirmed to Rolling Stone that the Latino MC passed away. Previously this week Robert Diaz was taken to hospital for some small surgery.

In 1997, Pumpkinhead released his most popular hit “Dynamic”. After that he recorded several solo albums, “Orange Moon Over Brooklyn” was the most significant one. Robert also liked to attend rap battles and competitions in New York, where he excelled with his great sense of humor. During his career he had a lot of collaborations with famous people, including Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique and Royce Da 5’9.

His close friends and relatives expressed the grief over different social networks. Talib wrote on Instagram:

To lose such a great human being so early in his life, man. No words. There is a fraternity of artists who were around for all of this. PH inspired us all. He will live on thru us even though his physical presence will be missed. RIP Robert Diaz

Immortal Technique wrote on Twitter that life was too short. He also used hashtags #Pumpkinhead #PH #RobertDiazRIP.
