Kurt Cobain’s family doesn’t want his death photos to be released

Cobain’s family claims that the release of 1994 photos will cause a great pain for everybody, especially for Kurt’s daughter.

Cobain’s family claims that the release of 1994 photos will cause a great pain for everybody, especially for Kurt’s daughter.

Cobain’s widow Courtney Love and their daughter Frances Bean asked a judge not to publish photos of the Nirvana frontman’s death scene. It is said in the lawsuit that those images may prove that Cobain didn’t commit suicide but was killed.

Theresa Doyle, Superior Court Judge, will hold a hearing where she will decide whether to proceed with a trial which began when Richard Lee, a Seattle public access TV show host, filled a lawsuit against the city and its police department for not investigating the material on the Kurt Cobain case. According to him, an incident that took place in 1994 was a murder!

The city doesn’t support the family’s decision to leave those materials sealed. Singer’s widow and daughter have written a letter to the judge, saying that if these photos would be released, they will cause a physical and psychological impact on their lives.

An extract from Frances Bean’s letter:

I have had to cope with many personal issues because of my father’s death. Coping with even the possibility that those photographs could be made public is very difficult

According to Bean, she has been suffering from obsessed fans since her father died.
