Famous comedian and the host of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart, leaves the program after hosting it for 16 years!

Jon Stewart has hosted his last broadcast of well known US satirical news show. A lot of famous stars joined him for his farewell broadcast, including Bruce Springsteen.

Besides, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Republican Senator John McCain sent the video massages to so much beloved Stewart, who has been hosting The Daily Show since 1999.

South American comedian Trevor Noah is replacing Stewart, who established himself as the liberal voice of the whole USA and one of the most influential comedians.

The Daily Show has been widely popular as the leading source of news in the country. It has the audience more than a million viewers, the majority of which are young people.

Stewart’s last words on the show, broadcast on Comedy Central, were:

Nothing ends. It’s just a continuation. It’s a pause in the conversation.

So rather than saying goodbye or good night, I’m just going to say I’m gonna go get a drink

He also thanked his friends, colleagues, family and fans.

During the farewell party the hashtag #JonVoyage became trending on Twitter.

Even US President Barack Obama paid tribute to Stewart.
