Jim Carrey criticizes ‘fascist’ vaccination law

Jim Carrey called California governor Jerry Brown a “corporate fascist” as he signed the new immunization programme, which is said to be the strictest in the US.

The new programme requires that all schoolchildren have to be vaccinated. The reason of such decision is the outbreak of measles that occurred last year at Disneyland.

California is now the third state in US, after Mississippi and West Virginia, that liquidates any religious and personal reasons to avoid vaccination.

Doctors supported the new law. According to them, it will help to stop the disease spread. But not everybody was so supportive. Famous American comedian Jim Carrey expressed his anger about the new law on his Twitter account.

He, as well as thousands of opponents, think that the law was signed just to help pharmaceutical companies to push vaccines to kids. Jim Carrey also wrote:

They say mercury in fish is dangerous but forcing all of our children to be injected with mercury in thimerosol is no risk. Make sense?

Carrey started his anti-vaccination campaign after he met Jenny McCarthy. She thinks that vaccination made her son sick with autism. But actor assured everyone that he was not anti-vaccine.

Carrey also turned to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as it said that vaccines and autism have nothing in common.
