Universal announced that continuation to the famous novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E.L. James will be more like thriller.

Donna Langley, who chairs Universal, revealed the information that “Fifty Shades Darker” will change the atmosphere and channel a different mood.

E.L. James, the author of trilogy, and director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, who won’t return for the sequels, obviously had creative differences, but speaking about that Langley said that they had ended up with the movie, which delighted the studio, their director and her as well.

The author of a script for the second part of a trilogy is E.L. James Irish husband Niall Leonard, who achieved in doing the draft for the first installment in the erotic movie franchise. But in spite of a very good work that draft wasn’t credited on the first movie.

Jamie Dornan starred in “Fifty Shades of Grey” as Christian Grey, a young billionaire, who dates graduate student Anastasia Steele, starred by Dakota Johnson, and introduces her to the dark grey world of BDSM.

Despite the fact that the film was under severe scrutiny by critics, it has gained $569m worldwide. Also Langley claimed that follow-up will be more of a thriller than the first part of a trilogy, which seemed to be the classic love story with a hardcore sex at the center.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are both remaining in the sequel although a director has yet to be found.

On February 10, 2017 Fifty Shades Darker is to be released.
