13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau was singing Sheeran’s one of the most popular hits “Thinking Out Loud”.  It was on Sunday afternoon at the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta. When the girl was doing her best to make the song sound perfect, the author of it jumped on the stage to make a duet!

As it later turned out, Ed Sheeran was shopping in the mall when he heard the familiar song. The singer decided to join the girl. Fortunately, Ed’s cousin Murray Cummings recorded the video of that cute moment. He also joked on his Twitter account that Sheeran ruined Bourbeau’s performance.

Sydney Bourbeau was singing as a part of her musical school to raise money for the Edmonton Humane Society. She later told Edmonton Journal that she was over the moon to see the singer and that she wasn’t expected to see him.

I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him. This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me

President of Resonate Music School and Studio Michael Cathrea said, they didn’t know that Sheeran would be in the mall.

After the short duet with the girl, Sheeran’s managed to contact Bourbeau and sent her tickets for his upcoming concert.
