The guitarist of legendary band Def Leppard reveals that his deadly disease has returned. He won’t take part in band’s next tour due to cancer.

The guitarist of legendary band Def Leppard reveals that his deadly disease has returned. He won’t take part in band’s next tour due to cancer. 

Vivian Campbell, one of the members of Def Leppard, was forced to leave his colleagues and quit their upcoming tour across North America to get his cancer treatment. The tour is about to begin on Tuesday in Tampa, Florida. But 52-year-old Vivian announced that the wouldn’t be able to take part in it. He is going to receive his treatment again.

In his Facebook statement, Campbell wrote that he was really saddened by the fact that his cancer returned.

However, I’m beyond consolation that it’s return will prevent me from being able to do my job for a while. I’m still working on a schedule of treatment with my doctors, but I will see you all very soon

Vivian also apologized that his fans won’t be able to hear him during band’s tour.

Campbell joined legendary band in 1992. In 2013 he revealed that he was suffering from Hodgkin’s lymphoma and was undergoing the treatment. Guitarist regularly wrote about his chemotherapy sessions on his Facebook account.

Def Leppard’s upcoming tour covers almost 50 cities in US and Canada.
