Brown’s departure from Manila, Philippines, was delayed as he was blamed for fraud over cancelling his New Year concert.

Worldwide famous singer was stopped from leaving the Philippines on his private plane by the Bureau of Immigration. The unpleasant incident happened on Wednesday.

A day before it, on Tuesday, Chris Brown was giving a concert in the capital of Philippines – Manila.

While being stopped, Brown and his promoter got to know that they are blamed for fraud, connected to last New Year concert cancellation.

The singer cancelled the concert at 55,000-seat Philippine Arena at the last minute, saying he had lost his passport the day before the event was scheduled.

The religious group, the one that owns the arena, asked the Department of Justice to help them to investigate and punish the singer.

After it, both Brown and his promoter, John Michael Pio, had to sit in bureau’s “lookout bulletin” as the Department of Justice told them to.

A spokeswoman of the Bureau of Immigration said that they need to “take prudent steps to verify on the status of the criminal case against the subjects.”

If the concerned agency raises no objection to the departure, then we will allow the subject to leave
